Important Patient Update from 1st October 2025

Important Patient Update – September 2025

From October 1st, the way you contact Binfield Surgery is changing. This follows new changes to the GP contract, which require all patients to be able to contact their GP practice online during core working hours.  (Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm).

To meet this, we are moving to an online triage system and here is how it works:

1. Go to our website and click on “Contact us online.”   Online Contact

2. You’ll see a set of tiles. Choose the one that best matches your need.  Under 14’s will be encouraged to use the Healthier Together App to follow the guidance/pathway to make an appointment or to receive the necessary advice.  We strongly suggest any parent/guardian download the Healthier Together app prior to 1st October 2025.

Download the App and use on your mobile :: Frimley HealthierTogether

3. If, for example, you need an appointment, click that tile and you’ll be guided to complete a short Klinik form this is to be used for one problem per consultation.

Once you’ve submitted the form, our team will review it, and we will get back to you within one working day. We’ll let you know what the next step is, and who is the most appropriate clinician to help you.

It’s very important to remember: this system is not for emergencies or urgent problems. If you try to use it for an urgent issue, you will be redirected to call 999 or attend A&E.

You may also notice that sometimes you won’t be booked directly with a GP. Instead, you may be seen by another member of our team – such as a nurse, pharmacist, physiotherapist, or another specialist. This is part of the government’s plan to make sure GPs focus on the most complex cases, while you get the right care, from the right professional, at the right time.

If you are unable to complete the form online, don’t worry. You can call us, and a patient advisor will help complete it for you over the phone. Or, you can visit the practice, and when available, a member of staff will assist you.

We understand this is a big change and that there may be teething issues. We ask for your patience, and we welcome your feedback so we can keep improving the service and your experience.

Thank you for working with us as we make this transition.
