Surge in COVID-19
Due to the recent surge in Covid-19 and the pressures on the NHS, we have been asked to stop any non-essential work immediately. We will keep this under review.
We are asking that you only call us or do an online consultation if you have an urgent request. If it is a routine request, we will ask you to contact us when the pressures have reduced. We are still taking all prescription requests as normal. Please do continue to contact us for acute illnesses or urgent matters.
If you already have an appointment booked and it is classed as non-urgent work the practice may contact you and advise that your appointment is postponed until we are able to restart these services again.
Thank you for your support.
COVID-19 vaccinations
Currently we have vaccine appointments available to book through our network for our patients who are over 80. If you, or someone you know, is over 80 and wants to have the vaccine, please call the registered surgery to book this. There may be breaks in service where we are unable to book appointments, but these will be short whilst we await further doses.
Following the news we may soon get deliveries of the Oxford vaccine, which should significantly speed up the roll out process, we are looking for people to put their names forward to volunteer at the clinics we will run. We don’t have any specifics currently, but should you wish to put your name forward please email liz.kerr@nhs.net with your contact details. Please also mention whether you are able to give general help in directing people or help such as vaccinating where qualified to do so.
Flu vaccines – 50-64
As you may be aware there is a new cohort for flu vaccines this year. People aged 40-64 can have the annual vaccination and we have plenty of stock. Please call reception on 01344 286264 to book an appointment.
Postcode for prescriptions
Please can we request that if you are changing your nominated pharmacy for where you wish to collect your prescriptions, that you send the postcode of the new pharmacy with your request.
Remember we are here for you
Although we have had to send out the message above to help us cope with the increasing workload of the pandemic, please remember we are still here for acute illnesses and urgent matters along with your usual prescription requests.
